20 July 2020. The Coalition for Economic Justice is launching a series of briefing documents that offer a practical approach to a fair and sustainable economy. The first in this series is about how Business Rates could be abolished and replaced by a fairer tax based on Land Values.
Refreshed Mission Statement for Coalition for Economic Justice
15 June 2020: The Coalition for Economic Justice (CEJ) announced today that had refreshed its mission statement to reflect its new direction. This was agreed by members of the CEJ steering Group ad a virtual meeting on Friday 12 May 2020.
The Mission Statement reads: “To campaign for the more equitable sharing of the value of natural resources and the wealth created by us all, as one of the most effective ways of removing the injustice caused by the private appropriation of community-created wealth.”

18 June 2020: The Coalition for Economic Justice announced today that it is calling on the government to take urgent action to head off widespread bankruptcies as tens of thousands of commercial tenants may fail to make rent payments. It proposes a land buy back scheme using quantitative easing (QE) which will benefit landlords, tenants and generate public revenue.
